I copied these short cuts from Lynn with her permission

these short cuts are very useful that’s why I copied it from Lynn’s blog and think it will be a great help for me and to others that can read my page…

you can copy and paste it for your own use as well as I just did and see how it will benefit you :-)

if it doesn’t look complete to you, you can just google it!!!

CTRL+ A is select all text

CTRL+ B is to bold all text

CTRL+ C is to copy anything from file to text to video, whatever. This is applicable to both windows and Linnux and some in Macintosh as well CTRL+ D is delete.

CTRL+ E is center align

CTRL+ F is open find pop up

CTRL+ H is also find in Microsoft, and it has other functions for other different OS

CTRL+ I is italicise

CTRL+ J is justify margin

CTRL+ L is left align

CTRL+ M is minimize or (just expand your horizon, check out what this is for) for power point is new slide

CTRL+ N is new document

CTRL+ O is open file

CTRL+ P is print

CTRL+ R is right align

CTRL+ S is save file

CTRL+ U is underline text

CTRL+ V is paste object or anything else

CTRL+ W is close window or program

CTRL+ Y is re-do task, meaning, what you did and erased and placed back, you can do again. Got it?

CTRL+ Z is undo. I love this command because you can do again what you have mistakably done. It’s like salvation, actually. Once you’ve repented, the page of your life will be back to normal just as before. Cool! And then the ALT buttons. Try these. Usually, there are provided cheats for every program. You call that shortcuts, right?

ALT+ F4 is close window or program

ALT+ TAB is change window ALT+ (initial letter of tab line from the top of the program that you are using.)

F–-opens the FILE tab

E—opens the EDIT tab

V—opens the VIEW tab

I—-opens the INSERT tab

O—opens the FORMAT tab

T—opens the TOOLS tab

A—opens the TABLE tab

W—opens the WINDOW tab

H—opens the HELP tab And then when you’re in there, you don’t need to use the mouse actually, there are corresponding underlines letter initials which you can also use readily! Such as in FILE:

A for save as and

S for just save. That is simple.

Try it for yourself!

Our last day in class and our presentation time!

Wow, today is a very exciting day! No more final test just a presentation of our project. Oh men! its nice to see how my classmate did their projects! Sometimes its just amazing what they’ve come up and wonder how they did it!

Esther’s group presentation was fabulous! Their educational video is very interesting specially the making of the homemade laundry soap. Their work is just a best example of educational video and later i will check her blog for the tutorial for the animation for their educational game.

Hanky, Eiji and Alex group are exceptional! Well they seemed to be experts and I lways admire their work so no question about their fantastic work.

OUR group, hahaha… for me our work is simple, like an amateur work! But personally I found it cute, personalize and simple so I like it! I also think its something like me hehehe… To justify our work, its just a start and soon we believe that we can improve it! W e enjoy doing it and I guess thats important when you enjoy what you do :-)

Menchie, Dina and Mimi work are simple great! Their video is something to keep and publish… it’s like professionally done. I enjoyed it!

Jin, Sunsook and Gloria (I miss Gloria) work are GREAT! for me it’s too complex and admire how they did it! So much cuttie illustration that is good for korean kids hehe!!! Great! Great! Great!

Parany, Rose and Khans (Happy Birthday Khan) presentation are also good… nice game, nice video but the website need to be arranged hehe… but so far I think everyone did great!

CONGRATS TO OURSELVES!!! I believe that everyone did what they can do to improve in this class… I am happy to learn and share moments with all of you!

DLSU – IT Center (the first E-classroom in the Philippines)

Yesterday I watched TV Patrol (Philippine news updates) they featured De La Salle University, Manila  (DSLU) first ever E-Classroom in the Philippines.  It’s kinda impressive how modern and hi-tech it is, I bet their computer lab cost a lot :-)   anyway DLSU is one of the most expensive university in the philippines so no doubt about their innovation!!!

ponder to this…

Computer-equipped classrooms are now a dime a dozen and computer-aided instruction is fast becoming the norm in well-funded educational institutions. Information is exploding on the World Wide Web and technology is making almost everything possible. How does one sift through a plethora of possibilities to conjure up the perfect image of a high-end electronic classroom that will be the norm in this side of the world a few years down the road?

Of course a lot of advantage and disadvantages it will cause… sometimes technology is not friendsly to use, literally they are friendly but not everyone can use it so sometimes its not practical… but of course its very much practical and cheaper how it works if you know how to use it… well, hord to explain… I am pro technology but in the place I live we are not that modern and to have all these modern technology it needs money and for starters there are much more to prioritize than this… I am also pro to manual work in class because it practice hard work and patience… so I don’t want to be bias, I will just keep at the center though I know its not also good.

for more info about DLSU IT Center you can click to this link and maybe it will be interesting for you and maybe you can enrol as well    S m  I  L e

http://www.dlsu.edu.ph/offices/itc/articles/eclassroom.asp

This is their short description of their students in E-classroom

Each student is furnished with a headset and a set of state-of-the-art gizmos that allow him to communicate with the instructor directly and vice versa. Want to raise a hand or ask a question without bothering the entire class? Press a button and the instructor can speak to you in private. Lost or in need of in-depth assistance? Press another button and the instructor will be able to peep through your screen to monitor your work or take control of your workstation to demonstrate a process. Wish to confer with group mates seated at the opposite end of the classroom without leaving your seat, click several buttons and your little group can hold a mini-conference.

The options are much more varied: In a truly paperless classroom, students take exams online; submit assignments, reports or seatwork online; project one’s work onto the wide screen for everybody to see or comment; surf the Web for information while a class is in progress; or hold classes outside the classroom via e-mail, or chat sessions.

The advantages are obvious: enhanced personalized instruction even in big classes, individual tutoring, direct supervision and monitoring of students’ work, enhanced communication between teacher and students, and greater class interaction. It is truly an educator’s dream classroom.

“Teaching is performance, teaching is theater, teaching is a medium focused on students. Classrooms per se must be active learning places and technology can be fun, interactive and user-friendly,” stresses Rapatan, who has a doctorate in Education, Communication, Computing and Technology in Education from the Teachers College of Columbia University.

Reflection

I missed last week reflection… Well, last meeting Feb 18, as I was sitting and absorbing the lesson, that was the time that my dad is struggling for his life in ICU… Before the class ended that was the time that my dad has given up, he passed away… That day was the worst day of my life! The greatest pain I have ever experienced! It’s hard… he’s the best person to me… my number one supported and admirer, he’s always proud of me now who can be proud of me??? I don’t know… Right now I’m back here studying trying to be fine even I am not… I just know that my father wont be happy if I will grief and be sad, I’m sure that my dad will be happy and proud if I will be strong! I know he doesn’t know anything now, whatever I donow but I’m sure that as I live he’ll stay in my heart and mind… his sacrifices and love for our family will always live in our heart and memories. Thanks for being so responsible father and for giving us good life and education to stand on our own. You are indeed the best father for all of us , salamat tatay.

Yea, last week we have studied about HTML using notepad and NVU… It was interesting, making website… I remeber 4 years ago when I was in Korea, I used to personalize my friendster and myspace background using CSS, I usually just copy and personalized some and used it in my page… I’m fun of my picture so I always use my picture as background. Now I can actually personalize it, thought its laborious lol, sometimes its easier to copy lol but I’m happy to know the command and some logic hehe…

If I find time during vacation I would love to explore more about it since I already know the basic! As what I always say, I always learn and enjoy this class :-)

I appreciate even the little things life alt 0169 for copyright sight and pressing windows d to automatically go to the desktop, i enjoy those things and hope to remember…

thanks for this class!!!
